Lake Greeson is a man made lake built for flood control and recreation that also serves as a eco-friendly method of generating electricity. The lake is formed by impounding about an eight mile section of the Little Missouri River. It offers great scenery and good fishing year round in the lake and below the dam in the cold discharge waters downstream. Here are a couple of links concerning the lake.

Cowhide cove state park has a playground for the younger kids, a beach and one of the larger boat ramps on the lake.
About five minutes from the cabin is the Swaha Marina where you can rent boats of various styles and sizes. There is also another beach just down from the Marina.
If you plan a larger family gathering, there is a covered picnic area with several tables as well as several open cooking grills. This is located at the dam overlooking one of the beaches.
